Last Wednesday

Went to library with Jia to do SRP research. Reached Woodlands MRT 5mins late and waited for Jiajia, who was, as usual, late. I went to the library first with the thought of booking a table for both of us, but then found out the library was not yet open. However, there were a few diligent looking peeps sitting down in front of the main entrance and reading books (one Chongfu kid was even doing her assesment books) so I thought to myself that the library would open soon. However, after 10 mins of fruitlessly walking across the floor and having people stare at me, I decided to search for the plaque that would announce the library's opening and closing hours. Found it after a while outside the library gate (why is it OUSTIDE) and realised opening hour was 12 noon. Jiajia came soon and we had half an hour to kill, thus we sat outside the library and talked crap. As the hour hand inched towards 12, more and more people gathered in front of the library until we felt that our future table was in danger of being taken. Thus we made our way to the front and discussed the potted plant next to us (we were wondering if it was real; decided it was real but wondered why it looked so fake) and whether I should toss her up the escalator so she could find a seat ahead of the rest. Anyway, when the library was declared open, everyone made a mad dash for the escalator. A surprising number consisted of aunties and their little kids. No doubt making a beeline for the children's section. Anyway, me and Jia decided on the reference section because we thought we would be doing most of our searching there (and reference books cant be brought out of the section anyway). We did know we would find difficulty in keeping silent in the tomb-like place, which is why I am thankful we shifted from a table near the bookshelves where all the serious people sat and worked quietly to a window table, which was a little noiser, and thus our voices managed to blend in.

Managed to photocopy 19 pages of info for static electricity (i really don't know why people wanna write about that. but thank goodness they did).

Last Thursday

Was johor-bound! The trip there was surprisingly short compared to the usual oodles of hours taken. Brought home 11 VCDs to watch. Got Ella Enchanted (RAWKS!!! WILL GET TO IT LATER), Legally Blonde 2, Mean Girls (the lousy chi trans of the name is jian nu hair lor. And for Ella Enchanted it is piao liang nu wu shi. ERM), School of Rock and Honey for Jia, The Day After Tomorrow, Garfield, Lizzie McGuire, Xmen 2, Shrek 2 and HP3. Woohoo.

Yesterday

Wen came to my house to watch movies and I forced her to help me with SRP. We watched Ella Enchanted first. OMG ELLA ENCHANTED RAWKS!!!!!!! Anne Hathaway was BRILLIANT and the guy who played Char was gorgeous (it didnt seem like that at first, but the more I look at him the more I like =D. Plus he takes off his shirt in one scene.). It was damn funny and the whole thing was bloody modernized. The giants wore tube tops and there were make shift bubble lifts and escalators! AMAZING! Then there were the sing and dance numbers... so cute!!!!! HEHEHEHE.

Following we watched Garfield. SO CUTE!!!!! Garfield so fat and so disgusting but so adorable ^__^ Then Odie very the dim-witted. AHAHAHAHAHA.

Today

Ok, school starts tomorrow. I havent finished learning my ting xie!! Got 2 more chapters to go. I havent finished my SRP. Havent finished writing half of my chinese book report. Grrrrr. WILL DO SO! Must bathe now. See ya tomorrow. Or whatever. T_T

Oh my God Moulin Rouge so totally rocks. =) I am in love with Ewan McGregor all over again. Been listening to all the songs from the movie, obtained from Windows Media Player Media Guide... you can actually download songs there!! It's like copying over from a CD... wahaha interesting. MOULIN ROUGE ROCKS!!!!!!! Ewan McGregor has a great voice you know... *beams*

Am currently "indulging" (yeah, totally indulging *rolls eyes*) in SRP pleasures... Tomorrow going to library with Jia and Shikin to do research... God why did I choose such an un-scientific sounding topic? "Does the colour of the water salt is placed in affect the rate of it dissolving?" Well, we all know the answer is no, but I need to PROVE it doesnt, right? Unless like I put in too much food colouring into the water or something. -_______-'' I really have no idea what other keywords I should search on to gain info... I have searched on salt (everything I need to know about salt is in that page, more than I ever need to know), water molecular structure (what use is that?), salt molecular structure, variables affecting rate of dissolving... I guess I need to get the food colouring bottle label to see what is in the bottle itself... right?? Oh my GOD.

If only i had gone for something like "Does NPK affect the rate at how plants grow?" or something like that, things would be much easier. What to search for in MY topic??

I am seriously wondering what is the use of SRP (Science Research Program)... are we going to get tested on making reports in JC or university or poly or something? If yes, what is the point?? Do we need them in our lives?? Half the things we learn in school (yes, inculding ALGEBRA) are totally redundant when we become adults... unless you wanna become a teacher/scientist/doctor or some extra chim occupation. Anyway, you get my point.

Totally dreading going back to school... at least during hols you get to sleep in! =*(

Nicky doesnt know how to say things that make people feel good.

Yesterday night my nic on msn was I hate SRP. Nicky comes to ask me if I've finished my SRP, and the conversation went something like this:

Nicky: Have you finished your SRP?
Me: No, havent even started.
Nicky: WHAT?????????!!!!!!!!! omg
Nicky: You'd better start soon... only got 6 more days.
(Like it'll do a lot of good to remind me of it)
Me: No, i have 9 days left.
Nicky: NO! Only got 6! today is Monday (is he very eager to prove me wrong, or what?)
Me: SRP is on Wed right? Got 3 more days.
Nicky: You cant count like that... you're only decieving yourself...
(See what I mean?)

So obviously I got completely pissed, and then he went: But at least you finished learning your ting xie, right? (Well, anyone with half a brain will know I havent.)

Yesterday was the netball carnival hosted at RGS. The night before I couldnt get to sleep. I went to bed at 10.30, and at 1am I was still awake. My mind was flooded with things turning themselves over and over and over again (read: i was thinking too much), and I tried EVERYTHING to fall asleep (even thinking of calming colours and nothing else, even counting sheep), and all the while I was worrying about not getting enough sleep for the carnival, and I dozed off at 1 plus i think, but I woke up at 3 plus again, and then tossed around and drifted off after 40 mins or something, and judging by how quickly I got up when my Dad woke me (he just went "eh, liu dian le" and I was up) it was a very light sleep.

Schools competing in the carnival included us, RGS, Bukit Panjang Government High, Jurong Pri and Gan Eng Seng. Everyone sent in maybe 2 or 3 teams, RGS sent in 5.

Yeah, our first match was with them, and my shooter was a girl at least 180cm tall, with legs twice as long as Jeremy's. It's like our legs end at the same point, but why do hers start up there and mine down there? (i HAVE been going around telling people I'm short, but nobody wants to believe me, now see what happens?)

So, I jump, and she jumps, make a guess - who got the ball?

I dont wanna do chinese book report!!!!!!

Ok, I think I've chosen the essay I wanna do (san wen ma...). Actually am not sure if can use essays instead of books leh... but whatever.

Anyway, I've kinda finished my science worksheet (half at the very least, that worksheet is rubbish, completely un-comprehendable for idiots like me) and kinda finished my maths worksheets (the simultaneous equations do not make sense) and I have SRP and chinese book report left (dont forget teh chinese zao ju). ahhhhhhh. Tomorrow is the stupid carnival. I DON'T WANNA GO!!!!! Waste my time. I'm gonna get scolded all over aagin...

Morbid sia... later maybe going out to eat (Father's Day) so maybe going to Sunny. AHHH WASTE MORE TIME... I haven't even started on my SRP you know??!! Oh GOD. GOD GOD GOD GOD.

Jiajia had this quizzy thingy on her blog... actually I've never really thought deeply bout how I want my dream guy to be like lah... (just that he looks like the canon guy) So let's try this shall we? =)

1. hair colour: well... doesnt really matter, but I guess if his hair is lightly streaked brown it would be nice =)
2. eyecolour: eye colour.. important!! They are what you gaze into (and if he has red eyes, stay away. He'd look horrendous in pictures, yes?). Erm. Black or brown I guess. ^o^

Sasa is a freak......... her quiz is a freak just like her.... but i scored 70 lah. Not bad, at the very least is A2 neh!!

Yesterday netball damn tiring... me played GD (last time I did was in 200BC or something...) instead cuz there were only 3 sec 3s and, erm, 12 sec 2s... Monday is the carnival (AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH), the carnival I mistakenly thought was NEXT Sat... oh my god I dont wanna GO. (What is the chance of winning RGS you tell me?) We have to reach school at, like, 7am. Hello, what is the point of holidays if you cant even sleep late.. *groans*

I just finished making a new layout for bloggie! *beams* It's PINK. The background image is Nyokiglitter's Sweetest Pink image, and I took it and editted it my way =) It looks good... but the stupid tagboard ruins it all with its unchange-able Name and UrL widths. I'm putting it up on the first day of july probably, that's also when i release my Everytime layout to blogskins.com, so people who want the codes for this layout will need to wait till then to get it (i like having a layout no one else has ^^).

Rama would be an english version of Gang Quan, but he would probably get kicked out faster than Gang Quan because the guy there would get irritated.

Jeremy would be trying to impress them with his knowledge of molecules and how the maglev train works and trying to convince them that no 14 yr old would ever have so much knowledge, thus he must be older, 17 at the very least, and he would be like, Furthermore, do you see 14 yr olds with legs this long? *falls over laughing*

Leroy would just stand there and rebuke the guy with No-OO! No-OO! and then finally wimp out.

Divek would give his biggest and most award-winning smile showing all his blinding white teeth but obviously it wouldnt work unless the guy is gay.

Nicky would go for the honest way and paste on a moustache and dress up in a black suit and tie and get those kind of round hats along with the sharp pointed end stick and point it sternly at the guy to try to intimidate him but the guy will not be fulled and finally Nicky cowers and gives up.

Jin Jun would try to knock out the guy with his Artic region range of lame jokes. I predict he will be successful.

Dev would... I dunno what Dev would do though. Erm... dazzle the guy with his adorable-ness and chubby cheeks?

I'm feeling pretty great now. =) I guess I never got around to telling you people, but I got an mp3 player worth $369 completely FREE. It arrived when we renewed our maxonline broadband suscription (kowtow to me, and perhaps I shall let you share my piece of delight... that and also do all my homework for me).

There were a few problems in the beginning (how was I supposed to KNOW that the earphone wire was so frail, one tug and it snapped) but I got it working afterall, and started to transfer my mp3s over to it. It can contain 1.5GB of music (or 850 songs) but so far my collection is only till 68. I wonder if I should dump all 200 over songs in my computer inside. Nah. I'll need to skip a lot of tracks to get to the ones I favour.

So begins an afternoon of the mellifluous (Mrs Chu made me write this) Gu Dan Bei Ban Qiu playing in my ears (i am totally addicted to that song).

Then I came across some positive comments on my skins (those people really make my day just by typing a bit on their keyboard) and had someone on blogskins try to plagiarise my Twinkle Twinkle Litle Star skin and i am SO HAPPY! I've always been wondering how it would feel to actually have people like your works so much they try to imagine that THEY were the creators of it (oh yes, thank you all so very much *blows kisses*). And it actually happened! Oh my God. =)

This girl called Joyina (Hey hey! *waves*) from blogskins.com said this of me on her blog (I cannot help it I am an egoist you see):
I like this Yiling person, her skins(blogskins) rawks, and she has the same birthday as me! :o Wh00t! Like, how many people share the same birthday, and on Labor's Day? O_o
It's really good to have someone say something nice of you isn't it?? I still remember the last time I was still one of the crowd at blogskins.com floating about looking for blogskins and totally idolizing lonelyger (or Jess of N.C.H.S.) because her blogskins RAWK . HehX. ^______^

Today was Resident Evil bound! Back to Nicky's house we went (we = Jia, Wen and me), to slay more bandersnatchers and zombies to try to keep Claire from dying and trying to keep ourselves from getting heart attacks during the game... then halfway through we got stuck because we couldn't find the door the walk-through was talking about. (CALLING ALL RESIDENT EVIL: VERONIA CODE X PLAYERS: HELP!!!!!!!!) Me went home sorely disappointed *sniff*.

I shall not care, shall not bother that I have not finished my homework (not even close to a half of it)!!!!!! I shall not keep thinking of my stinky SRP report, which I have not even started OR researched on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will not!!!!!!

Ou De Yang's got a very nice voice... so yesterday night I was waiting hopelessly on irc for my turn to recieve Ou De Yang's mp3s from other people, and everyone else's queues were like 30 something high [-__-] and when I FINALLY got my turn, and the mp3 was halfway transferred, the connection died and transfer stopped. *pengX*

So then I was TOTALLY fed up and stormed off IRC, telling myself I would NOT try to look for his songs again. Then, online at about 12 midnight, one of my cousins talked to me and asked why I was online so late. And I said I was doing a layout and he told me he was waiting for Euro 2004 at 2am (what else is new?). Then somehow the topic turned to Ou De Yang and I found out he had like 5 of his songs, and i was all YIPPEE!!! and so then I got all 5 of them from him (THANK YOU!!!)...

He really has this very nice voice! Very comforting in the ear I guess. Anyway, i wonder why he's not shown his face. Either he very ugly or he very shy? ;) Lol.

Grace, we wouldnt have expected it, but Vanness can sing lah. His [Wo Tao Yan Wo Zi Ji] very nice... one of my fav songs current ;) Really!! Unbelievable...

Anyway Jia ah, if you wanna kill a bug (kill as in make sure it's DEAD) learn from me. I should know; everytime I have to deal with all the irritating fat brown beetles flitting about my house. Even though what I do may seem a little cruel, really I cant help it either. I am totally freaked out by them and their family and relatives (it really is their fault for scaring me in the first place).

If I see it lying innocently on the ground, I will get a piece of tissue, fold it into one small thick square (the reason behind this is so that I wont feel the beetle wriggling in it when I squash it), place it over the beetle and sweep it up by clenching my fingers together, at the same time no doubt squashing it to death in the thick folds of the tissue. Then into the dustbin it goes.

Or else when i am not in the mood to play with it (more than half the times you inch towards it, it takes flight. scaring you to death) I simply take my paint palette and cover it.

Some times i'll go for the method of convenience and baygon it. It stinks up my room though, so not a very favourable method.

The above methods only work for SMALL insects. The one thing i have NO DEFENSE AGAINST IS THE COCKROACH. I mean, you cant SQUASH IT. It's so HUGE. Then it crawls so FAST. And sometimes when you're unlucky you come across one equipped with flying abilities. And it looks downright DISGUSTING. Cockroaches are HORRENDOUS LOOKING LITTLE MONSTERS!!! (Which is totally why Hermione called Malfoy a cockroach... you wouldnt have expected the Malfoy in the book to look as good as the one in the movie, would you?)

When all fails... scream.

Oh deeeaaaar. I havent blogged in ages!!! *smiles blissfully* So many so many things to blog... oh woooooooooooooooooow.

(what did i want to blog about anyway... er...)

So on Friday I met Kum Boon, Nicky and Divek at Yishun MRT station. We were supposed to go bowling, go to the arcade, and round the day off at Nicky's house watching him play Resident Evil. Anyway, we spent a horrible time walking all the way to Safra (esp for me because I had to retrace my steps to my home since Safra is like just opposite my house over the reservoir) under the sickening sun only to find out all the freaking lanes were full and they would only be empty at 1 or 2pm *faints* So we trekked all the way back to Northpoint and spent an awful lot on games at the arcade(I only spent 5 bucks la)... I beat both Nicky (7:4) and Divek (cannot remember liao though... but I beat him by one or so) at the ping-pong-ish game (you know the one you hit the flat yellow disk across the table and try to get it into the opponent's slot??) Then I watched Kum Boon and Nicky play Ocean Hunter (ah, tong nian hui yi!!!! Hui Yi, Yi Ni, Vanessa and I used to go to the arcade at Sun Plaza all the time to play that and the crocodile game - we spoilt it somehow) and kill all their fellow hunters by accident. Then I played the basketball game and my score was miserable, most of my shots missed!!!! Impossible!!! *mutters darkly and glares around* Oh and there was this RUBBISH baby game which me and Nicky played... i suspect it is really some exercise machine in disguise because playing the game required muscular arms which me and Nicky both didnt have thus we failed all the tasks set for our baby characters (anyway it was a crap game) but whatever.

So then Divek had to go home (awwwwww. I pity him. I mean, tuition in the middle of the hols? Not good.) and we took 812 to Safra to try our luck at the bowling lanes, but they were all full STILL. Undaunted, we waited resolutely at the snack bar (in the end succumbed to very expensive temptation - we didnt eat lunch what!!!) until we got a lane 15 mins later. It was lane 12, right smack in the middle of all those CHIJ and St Josephs' pros... Oh well... we had fun bowling amid all the gutter balls and Nicky's 5 failures in life.

So then we took a taxi to Nicky's house, and Nicky promptly embarrassed himself in the taxi (the taxi driver didnt know the way and so had to call up his friend or something to ask, and because he was using a hands free kit we all thought he was asking US for directions and Nicky was answering all the questions the taxi driver was asking his FRIEND until we finally found out) and all 3 of us got kinda carsick... then we reached Nicky's house liao. (Nicky owes me $2 for cab fare. Remember. Remember.)

Sasa was waiting in the house for us (she met us after band prac) and we went up to embrace Veronica: Code X without the cheats after countless futile tries to get them activated. My God, how was I to know that it would be so nerve-wracking watching Claire get eaten up by the zombies!!!!! Everytime they attacked Claire me and Kum Boon would totally freak and scare Nicky... -_____-'' IT WAS SO EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But we never got around to finishing it because it was too long... oh well there's a lot more i wanna say bout the game but no idea how to put it all in words. (Like how very exciting it was. no wait I already said that.)I wanna go back to finish it!!! Claire's so cute ^^

So then we had dinner at Nicky's house (extraOdinary like what Delifrance's promoting)and watched Xi Ling Men and then kum boon and i went home at 8 plus while Sasa got driven home in the comfort of her dad's car T_T NO FAIR!!!!!!!

I am LAZY!

Laziness is ruining my life. If I werent lazy I would study maths. If I werent lazy I would do my homework. If I werent lazy I wouldnt grumble about getting up early. If I werent lazy I wouldnt mind so much going to netball.

Whatever.

I should be doing the IPW report!!!!!!!! Ahhhh netball tomorrow again. Oh well the weeks pass so FAST. Today is WEDNESDAY YOU KNOW? Oh god.

Today met up with my IPW group consisting of Lijie, Shunwei, Yixuan, Xinyi (whenever i mention one of their names, the other 3 naturally pops up like in a package), Nicky, Jia, Sasa and me to do our freaky IPW project. Because we were so called selected /chosen/picked from our class for some Andno Camp *shrugs* we have to do a lot more than others. Anyway, details are too complicated. "We're in deep shit" sums up the whole thing nicely.

Anyway, waited for close to 40 minutes for the whole group to turn up. Yixuan woke up late and Nicky was supposed to arrive late because he wasnt eating lunch with us but since we waited so long for Yixuan we decided we might as well wait for Nicky as well thus we occupied the corner stone slab in Yishun MRT station for a very long time, no doubt inviting stares of disapproval and mutters and mumbles about how very inconsiderate we were to occupy the seat for such a very long time and deprive potential old ladies/men of sitting down to rest their feet

Lunch at Mc (Lijie initiated it). It seemed to me it was happy children day because the entire children population of Yishun showed up in the McDonald outlet jumping around armed with balloons and I collided with at least half of them trying to get to my seat.

Afterwards Nicky made sure we went to Time Zone to quench his lust for Time Crisis 3. Jiajia was drawn into it while Lijie, Yixuan, Sasa, Xinyi and Shunwei were bored to tears. 30 mins later we went back to my house and everyone except Sasa and Jiajia (because they've gone to my house before, if Sasa hadnt she would be one of "everyone") believed me when i told them I lived 25 mins away from the bus interchange and needed to use my keys to unlock the bridge on the third floor of BLK 930 to be able to go to my house.

Lounged out on the living room floor with half reading past 8 Days issues and half oogling Daniel Radcliffe (Shunwei oogled Brad Pitt) while listening to Cyndi Wang's newest album loaned to me by Huiyi. After another half an hr I ushered everyone into my room to labour tediously over our IPW PowerPoint presentation. Session also doubled up as a sing-a-long session with songs provided by my Windows Media Player and lasted until 5 when everyone except Jiajia and Sasa left without much work completed (Nicky and Xinyi basically just sat on the floor screaming as they battled it out via Snake on their 8250s).

At around 6 plus I opened Paint and became Sasa's secretary, meticulously recording every single word she said while she moved around hitting her head on shelves, tying Jia's hair and saying she looked like Legolas, having her hair tied by Jia and screaming in pain all the way (she cannot take pain you see) and having all her OW OW OW typed out by me.

The 2 of them had a little dinner as they succumbed to temptation. They left happily after watching Double Happiness at 7pm on Ch 8 (after eating grapes with seeds in them and Sasa dropping her grape on the floor and when she leaned over to pick the grape up, knocked over the paper box containing all the seeds, spilling them on the floor).

My computer is going nuts, weird stuff is happening all over the internet and I cant access a damn lot of pages, pop ups keep telling me Internet Explorer has problems loading this page thus ist cannot be loaded or whatever and so the page wont load and I cant do blogskins.com and how frustrating is it and people think I'm dense and my mom is getting on my case about homework again and I'm getting myself on my osn case about homework and oh my god ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Yesterday went to watch Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban at Causeway Point. All shows were sold out yesterday, but Lijie went in the morning to buy tickets for us. Very amazing tickets: 3rd row from the front. So we spent the whole movie slouching down in our seats and resting our heads on the back of the seat to watch the movie without snapping our necks. Because we were so IN FRONT, all the sound effects came out extra loud... i didnt enjoy it THAT much. It was a good movie =) but i couldnt help thinking that there were a lot of parts from the original book cut out that made the movie seem a little broken... oh well it was quite funny lah. The Dementors were quite interesting looking =) but a bit lame lah, all they do in the skies is to drift around in black. *shrugs* Ron also very the qian bian in the movie... ahahahaha.

Movie ended faster than I'd expected. When credits rolled, and Daniel Radcliffe's name appeared, a group of girls several rows behind us shrieked out loud *rolls eyes*.

Not really in the mood to blog much lah. Thinking of homework and upcoming np.

I so don't get this, about 60% of the blogs I read tend to get very very very sad. Hey, I just came across Jaslin's blog and she's basically moping around like what Yixuan does (she just broke up with a guy I think. I mean, hello??? Do you notice a pattern around here nowadays) every single day of her life. Well I'm glad I dont have any BGR (like the other 40% of happy blogs I read. with the exception of Jiajia) to keep me muddled. I get enough of THAT from netball and maths *rolls eyes*

So basically my results sucked. Should have said it from the beginning!!!! SUCKY RESULTS.

Oh, i havent done my homework. Not one single itsy bit. Tomorrow meeting up with a bunch of guai kia to watch HP3 and probably going to get all ashamed because everyone's done their homework and I havent. Kum Boon was sick with 38.1 fever and she did maths. Curse her.

Another Cute Homework List

1. Maths worksheet which includes all the freaky exercises from the text book... you know.

2. Science worksheet with review questions on everything we've learnt in the past year (Mrs Lim, i know you care, but this is too much.)

3. Chinese book report. (What else is new?)

4. SRP!!!!! OH my GOD this has got to be the worst piece of homework ever handed out. GET THIS: A SCIENCE RESEARCH REPORT (professional style) THAT HAS TO BE AT LEAST 10 PAGES!!!!!!!!!! Spare me the horror. ANDERSONIANS, JOIN THE CLUB AND MOURN!!!!

5. Oh yes i just remembered, when we come back we are having ting xie for all the chapters we've learnt in the past year, yes, no?

6. Not to mention maths test. Oh, yes, tres bian.

7. D & T. Wood. Some kind of sculpture. Boring. Enough said.

OH MY GOD HISTORY NEXT TERM!!!! SOMEONE SHOOT ME!!! I can NEVER stay awake in her class. I always tend to fall asleep in history!! Argh.

I dont want to go for CCA... unfair for all those CCAs which dont have to go back during hols... UNFAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sucky... don't get what's so exciting about it...

There are a lot of things I don't get, come to think about it...

I want to age 10 years over night and skip all the exams and stuff that are coming my way. But obviously that is impossible. Plus I'll probably die because I'll never get a job. Never mind.
