I picked out a great pair of specs today! Am happy :D Only today did I realize how boring the variety of specs in heartland areas (namely Yishun) are. And it was mind-blowingly cheap because the guy gave my sister a 50% discount, like she knew he would, as she keeps introducing people to him to make their specs so as to secure abovementioned discount. It's like, $89? And best thing is, we don't even need to pay for it hahaha because my sister will just sign it to her company. Ohhh the perks of having siblings.

And um tomorrow is completely Do-Your-Tutorials-And-Essays day, so I'm trying not to think of it. To keep it from coming. I notice this happens a lot of late.

Ohhh here are some random pictures I've always wanted to post but never got around to. I don't know why I keep posting photos!

Yes, this was one of my Econs scribbles (from earlier on Market Structure notes)

Five dollar fifty cent Black Crunch Coffee I drank in a Thai/fusion restaurant near Katong Shopping Mall the other day

Happy Jessica and happy Michelle (with a bowl of pasta in tom yam soup)

If I remember correctly... this should be (name of MRT station)... ehhh... okay I can't remember! Oh never mind, the stations near the east are all straaaaange (Mansjuri Sec looks like a chinese temple! I wonder how their uniform looks like! I shall go and google their school right now!)

Here is another example of something Xinyun (tends to draw) drew on my geog/econs notes:

"Xinyun don't like me le x("

(Anyway now you know what sort of person Xinyun is hahahaha. She likes to comment on my drawings by writing phrases down on my paper next to the scribbling)

I actually took a picture of this while I was mugging Physical Geog in AMK library during the June hols. Sheesh. Anyway this post was completely random.

Why I think I have problems concentrating in Econs lectures:

Argh this has been an ubelievably exhausting week. I get a chance to execute my powerful leadership skills like practically everyday, every PAWS meeting as we are now planning our Investiture/JTS on 20th July and it has been getting increasingly frustrating, and when I have no PAWS I have PW, which is even more frustrating, not to mention annoying, as we are at that stage where you simply MUST go out and have interviews and surveys and can't bullshit your way through with chunks of words. Gahh. It's just One of Those Times when everything seems to pile on you one by one until you realize you've got a whole shitload of duties to be completed in the shortest imaginable times possible. PLUS I can't believe how much homework I have this weekend!

But on the brighter side I went out shopping after school like twice in 2 consecutive days (OMG) with Sok Mui. Um, we kind of bought a lot of accessories (me earrings, one ring and her, necklaces) because being in your school uniform, you can't actually try on clothes on shoes, so the only things you CAN try on are accessories and the like. Both times I was lured out by Sok Mui, away from my Maxima minima Tutorial 7.3, on Wednesday to accompany her to the dentist, on Thursday to accompany her to Sistic outlet in Tampines Mall to buy student-priced tickets.

So Wednesday right, we went to Orchard, because her dental clinic was in uber-posh PARAGON, and we reached there like half an hour early so I took out Tutorial 7.3 and started doing the 3rd question, only of course I couldn't do it and had to like copy the start of Sok Mui's solution to sort of pave the way for my understanding, when suddenly this super terrifying moan came our way:

OoohhHHH. OHHHHHH. OOOHHHHHHHHHH. *voice goes up a few notches in hysteria*

and it went on for pracitcally the whole time we were there, right till before we left, and it was like all those typical dental horror stories like she was getting chunks of her JAW ripped out. So I was sitting there, literally frozen in horror and listening to the moans coming from one of the dental rooms, each moan getting increasingly hysterical and (sounding) painful. IT WAS SO FREAKY. SHE WOULDN'T STOP WAILING. My pen was like poised in mid-air as I anticipated each moan and she didn't disappoint me, moaning for all she was worth and I thought she was undergoing some terrible wisdom tooth operation only they ran out of anasthetia or something.

Then Sok Mui got up and went in nonchalantly when it was her turn, and I sat there staring after her retreating figure and thinking, Omg brave soul, with the moans playing from around me or whatever, and expecting her to be subjected to horrible treatment. So it was like super anti-climax because in like 10mins she came our wearing her retainer (because she had purposely neglected to wear them for the past 6months and her teeth are now MOVING), and she told me her dentist said that the freaky moaning came from this apparently very little girl, who was getting her tooth pulled, and I'm like OMG, you can't be serious, because the moans were so DEEP like the owner of the voice was at least 14, and why the hell is she screaming so much when it's just her tooth being pulled? So essentially the entire incident reinforced my FEAR OF DENTISTS (look, how ominous can it get? Stereotypical screams of pain from the dentist? It DOESN'T just happen in stories, okay) and I have only been to a proper external dentist ONCE to get my tooth pulled. And ew, I probably will never ever visit one again.

Anyway I can't imagine why I'm blogging about this when I have so many other things to blog about, only I'm really way too tired to do so -.- Like how Michelle, Jessica, Sok Mui and I went singing in this ulu KTV lounge in Katong Shopping Center (with its ugly blue and yellow exterior) last Sat, and it was really cheap, $8/hour/room, but the exterior was really seedy and we all thought we were going to get kidnapped or whatever. But the lounges were very normal and satisfactory and we had damn lot of fun belting out songs together. Coincidentally we have the same tastes in chinese music so whatever song each of us wanted to sing, the rest would have heard of it before, and can all sing together. And we are quite harmonizing too :D Gosh, don't you just love singing with a partner who can so sing in tune with you? Jessica has the sort of sweet Zhang Shao Han voice and she can do all the high notes like Selena -.- Good grief.

Oh and I cabbed home from Katong after that, not knowing how to go home and my feet to painful to attempt to travel anyway (vainty reasons, ma), and it was bloody $17.20, plus surcharge, OMG OMG. I asked the taxi driver at the start how muc he estimated it would cost, and he said 12 or 14, which made me so happy you know? $17.20! Omg!

Oh this is all messed up in the chronological sense, but you know Thursday when I was with Sok Mui in Tampines Mall, I went to Times and there were all these cardboard BOXES of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows stacked up in the display window and shackled with thick black chains and I was like STARING at the boxes knowing they'll only be opened 12.01am on 21st July, thinking I CAN'T BELIEVE IT, the 7th book is actually right in front of me, after 2 whole years of waiting and it is WITHIN REACH and I can reach out and tear open the box and grab a copy of the th book! It was a lovely feeling, the excitement of anticipating a long-awaited book/movie. OOhhh I can't wait! :D:D:D

Lastly, I recently put my feet on top of my specs and crushed them out of shape, and when I tried to salvage the situation by twisting them, I succeeded in breaking one of the lenses from the frame. It is now completely beyond repair. I am sorely disappointed know, those were some of the best-looking frames I've seen in ages(and expensive as well, dammit)! But yah tomorrow I am going to Bugis to make specs because my sis insists on introducing me to that particular optician shop because they have nice specs and good service, or something. I'm wearing my old specs which are absurdly scratched and annoy my eyes, so I shall stop blogging now. =X

Okay, there is like 15 minutes before Harry Potter 3 on Ch 5. You know why I am watching that? I, who own all 4 existing HP movies on pirated VCDs? Because Tan Yuan Zi from 6A borrowed the VCD from me 2 years ago when he came to my house after 6A chalet and has not returned it since then. Even Ben has returned me my The Village (borrowed at the same time) can! I think it is clearly gone forever. So I'm watching the movie on Ch 5.
(ARGH why do I KEEP digressing??)

As part of my active-blogger-status requisition, I am updating on today's activities which includes a trip to NTUC and unnecessary junk food purchases. I finally bought Sara Lee chocolate pound cake :) And um, chicken pau (they sell it for 80 cents at school! EIGHTY CENTS!!) and Philadelphia cream cheese, (80% less calories, how nice). And I wanted to buy Peel Fresh Apple Juice with Aloe Vera as well but there was none of that, dammit. And stuff. Oh yes Myojo Mee Goreng!!! Reminds me of the nice mee goreng at Jia's house during my birthday last time. Shiook. Even though it was freaking spicy and I drank like 3 mugs of water.

I watched lameo Stephen Chow movies today on crunchyroll :D And then I tried to rewatch the TVB version of Yi Tian Tu Long Ji which I loved first time I watched on CH 8. This time I fell asleep at the end of the episode -.- Because it was all in Cantonese and I suck with dialects and I had to read the chinese characters (FAN TI! I am not even good with jian ti you want me to read fan ti! Cock!) in faint yellow at the bottom and my eyes got pissed off after a while.

Yes I know, very interesting day, whatever, not like YOUR life is anymore exciting than mine, pfft!
